Forehead lines | Crow’s feet | Frown lines | Between eyebrows | Facial slimming
Botox is an FDA-approved prescription medicine that is injected into muscles. It is used to temporarily reduce the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines (between the eyebrows) as well as wrinkles at the eyes or forehead.
It works by targeting the muscle contractions that cause wrinkles to form, such as repeated frowning and squinting over the years. By reducing this muscle activity, you will notice the lines and wrinkles on your face begin to smooth out.
Do Botox Injections Hurt?
If you are concerned about discomfort, ask your Glamoi Med Spa provider about applying a numbing cream to the area before the injection. However, most clients report nothing more than a brief pinching sensation.
How Long Does It Take?
Each treatment takes less than 15 minutes – it’s so quick and easy that it’s often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure” for its ability to fit into your lunch break.
There is no downtime or recovery required. You can return to your regular activities immediately after treatment. However, you may be advised not to lay down for a few hours afterward to reduce the likelihood of the medication spreading from the area.
Depending on your desired outcome, multiple treatments may be required. Treatment sessions are typically performed every 3 – 4 months.
